This May 16-19 I will be in Milan, Italy as a featured presenter during Street Photo Milano. The focus of my lecture will be on several of my black and white projects over the years, including Gratuity Included, Faith and Suspect Device.

Gratuity Included is a 7 plus year project that explores the party lives of millennials around the globe. It’s a raucous look at how young adults socialize in the digital age.

Faith is a year-long deep dive into a group of gay African Americans in Washington DC that have empowered themselves to create their own social and religious community in the face of racial, homophobic and religious discrimination.

And, Suspect Device is my personal four-year-long look into the punk and hardcore music scene in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.

I will be speaking at 5 p.m. of Friday, May 17 at BASE Milano, Via Bergognone 34, 20144 Milano.

Other presenters include Matt Stuart, Jacob Are Sobol, Gueorgui Pinkhassov, Eléonore Simon, Fulvio Bugani, Michael 'Monty' May, and many more.

Impasse de la Fidélité, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium | October 31, 2016

Honored and humbled to have taken first place in the Brussels Street Photography Festival’s Eyewitness in Brussels contest in collaboration with the Jewish Museum of Belgium.

This photograph was taken on Halloween night in 2016 during the first edition of the Brussels Street Photography Festival.

It was also great to be in Brussels to accept the award in person. Many thanks to the BSPF crew and the Jewish Museum of Belgium for putting on a fantastic opening. The images from the contest will be up for the next 3 months.
